As a writing teacher, I see so many of my students jump right into the essay writing, skipping the crucial planning stages that save time and provide solid structure. This Essay Writing Workshop is designed to help you plan your essay so that you are able to bring your ideas and research together easily. Join this class to save yourself time, avoid overwhelm, and develop skills that will help you in future years of essay writing.

What you can expect:

  • Learn in a supportive, small-group setting where it is okay to work quietly or ask all your questions.
  • Improve your skills by immediately putting them into use in class with a mock essay. Bring your laptop and a notebook.
  • You will be guided step by step, so that learning feels easy and supported.
  • Sarah will teach well-prepared content that she has developed working 1:1 with students. The class is also flexible to respond to the needs and questions of the students that sign up.
  • The time will go quickly, but we will not be rushed. You can expect a productive, focused, enjoyable learning experience.

What you will gain:

  • Review the structure and key elements of a 5-paragraph essay.
